Virtual Support Sessions

For individuals and families of The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod, staff will be providing ongoing virtual support with you. Connection through phone calls from a familiar and friendly voice, video calls from a trusted supporter, group chats with friends, linking online to play a favorite game, listening to favorite music or watching a funny video together, can all counteract the negative impact that this situation can create.

Advice to avoid Covid-19 through social distancing can, for many people, increase the risk of depression, anxiety or emotional distress from inadequate social contact. Our team fully recognizes the therapeutic value and importance of connecting socially, and we’re here to support you, your loved ones and those you care for.

And let’s not forget, caregiver compassion fatigue is a very real phenomenon, and your role is never easy- especially now. Let our team help support you as well! Pairing your loved one with a member of The Arc team during a remote support session may help you take a much needed breath of fresh air, make a quiet phone call, or simply allow you a moment of joy in watching their face light up or body language relax when connecting with a dedicated member of our team.

We offer over 40 virtual sessions through Zoom per week! Contact your Program Director for current offerings.
