Reopening Our Day Program

The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod is excited to welcome a small group of people back to our Day Program, which is now located at our Armstrong Road location in Plymouth!

The Arc has proudly fully vaccinated 63 staff members, and provided the first vaccine shot to another 54 staff members. With that in mind, we’re ready to begin welcoming familiar faces back to our Day Program. Program Directors have contacted all participants who are included in this roster, which commences Monday, March 8th.

This limited reopening roster includes 7 participants. We hope to welcome more participants back to Day Programs in time, but a number of variables, including spacing issues, will ultimately determine how the next phase of our reopening occurs. There is no set timeframe for adding more individuals to our roster as of yet, but we will continue communicating updates as soon as they become available.

Virtual support sessions and classes remain an option for all Day Program participants, providing engaging Zoom sessions that include skill acquisition and socialization. Updated virtual class schedules can be obtained from Program Directors or found on our website, so please continue to take advantage of those!

The health and safety of the people we support and our staff have always been at the forefront of any decision we made during our pandemic response. And though our Cordage Park location was closed during the height of the pandemic, our agency never stopped offering support services.

All of the steps that The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod have taken over the last several months have had our mission at heart, and that is to ensure everyone involved with the organization belongs, contributes and thrives. We thank everyone for their patience and flexibility as we continue to work through this, and we will continue to bridge disability services for the communities we support.
