The Arc of Plymouth and Upper Cape Cod is excited to announce the creation of MonArc, an innovative respite program for caregivers and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with complex medical needs.  
Participation is free of charge and open to all!

What we do:

Located at 52 Armstrong Rd, Plymouth, MA, MonArc will be an opportunity for participants to enjoy a variety of enrichment activities on site, one Saturday a month from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.  Caregivers will have the opportunity to drop off the participant during this time or they can choose to stay on site.     Lunch will be provided, free of cost, to caregivers who remain on site.    

Caregivers will have the opportunity to:

  • Complete a brief Caregiver Self-Assessment Tool to help gauge their level of stress throughout participation in the program.

  • Enjoy a well-deserved break!

  • Build new and lasting connections.

  • Participate in roundtable discussions with other caregivers.

  • Share ideas.

  • Relax and unwind.

  • Enjoy quarterly professional speakers, including a self-care series.

Enrichment Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Experience and learn new things!  Activities could include expressive arts, self-care/spa day, nutrition, movies, photography, games, physical activities such as yoga, karate, music and dance.

  • Receive support from caring staff and a qualified nurse on-site.

  • Meet new people.

  • Have lots of fun!

Registration:

Capacity is limited. Registration will be accepted on a first come, first served basis.   Participants are not registered for a session until confirmation email is received from the Program Director.
